Suspect Rams Houston Police Officers During Pursuit

DETAILS:
- Officers observed the suspect at an apartment complex taking a hood of a car.
- Officers attempted to make contact. The suspect rammed the officers vehicle and fled.
- Officers searched the area and found the suspect vehicle.
- They attempted to stop the vehicle but a pursuit ensued.
- Several PIT maneuvers were attempted that eventually disabled the suspect vehicle.
- A short standoff with the suspect occurred.
- The suspect attempted to flee on foot across the freeway but the K9 was able to stop the suspect.
- Officers were able to detained him.
- The suspect vehicle caught fire. HFD responded.
- The adult male suspect will be transported by ambulance to get checked out.
- No officers were injured.
