Suspect Pepper Balled After Hiding Under Camper Trailer

DETAILS:
- Late Saturday evening, Phoenix Police responded to an unknown 911 call at a trailer park on Van Buren Street Near 40th Ave.
- Upon arrival police made contact with a male underneath a camper trailer near the entrance to the trailer park.
- Officers asked the man to exit out from underneath the trailer but he refused.
- Officers continued to attempt to speak with the man, issuing commands for him to crawl out from under the trailer.
- After several failed attempts to talk the suspect out from under the trailer additional officers arrived at the scene.
- One officer utilized the pepperball gun in an effort to coerce the suspect out from under the confined space.
- Eventually the suspect was pulled from under the trailer and placed in handcuffs.
- Phoenix Fire was dispatched to the scene to evaluate the suspect.
