Suspect Killed In Fatal Crash After Brief Pursuit | Houston

01.15.2022 | 1:50 AM | HOUSTON – A HPD unit observed a vehicle run a red light. Officers attempted to stop that vehicle. The vehicle continued to speed and ran three additional red lights. Officers started to lose sight of the vehicle. Officers then slowed down. When officers finally caught up to the vehicle, they saw that the vehicle had crashed into a tree in the center median. The vehicle had wrapped around the tree. The driver was pronounced deceased at the scene by HFD. At this time officers believe the driver was the only occupant inside the vehicle.
