Suspect Flees From LAPD, Gets Spiked (Caught On Camera)

INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 8-6-24 | 3:00 a.m.
LOCATION: Newcastle & Ventura Blvd
AREA/CITY: Los Angeles
DETAILS:

1. LAPD West Valley officers found a male sleeping in his car that had outstanding warrants for Felony Vandalism
2. Officers requested a backup
3. Officers set up spike strips ahead of the car in case he took off
4. Officers approached the vehicle and attempted to take the man into custody however he fled
5. The suspect hit the spike strips and continued to flee
6. The suspect entered the 101 south
7. He fled south on the freeway for roughly 2 miles
8. He stopped his vehicle on the right shoulder and was taken into custody without incident
