Suspect Escapes Hospital, Arrested After Roof Standoff

DETAILS:
- Saturday Afternoon, Officers responded to reports of a fight involving a knife and gun; upon arrival, at least one suspect was arrested and transported to CHOPE Hospital for an evaluation.
- An officer at the hospital reported that the suspect had fled, and they were chasing the suspect on foot.
- Additional officers responded and deployed a drone before locating the suspect hiding in the backyard of a nearby residence.
- The suspect once again fled and began jumping fences before climbing onto the roof of a residence and refusing to come down.
- Officers negotiated with the suspect but were unsuccessful. They then used a ladder to gain access to the roof and took the suspect into custody.
- He was transported back to CHOPE Hospital for evaluation.
