Suspect Dies In Fiery Pursuit Crash
INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 2-24-25 / Around 2:30 am.
LOCATION: 1407 S Voss Rd
AREA/CITY: Houston
DETAILS:
- HPD units were near Unity Dr and Richmond Ave.
- They spotted a black Infinite with a stolen Chrysler license plate.
- They attempted to pull the vehicle over, and the suspect driver fled, turning off its lights.
- The suspect turned northbound onto Hillcroft Ave.
- Hillcroft turned into S Voss Rd. The suspect lost control and struck a tree.
- The vehicle caught fire and the driver remained in the vehicle.
- HFD responded and put the fire out.
- HFD pronounced a male deceased inside the vehicle.
- This incident is being treated as an in-custody death.
