Sunland: Brush Fire Threatens Homes

08.01.2020 | 1:45 AM | A two-acre flare up threatened nearby homes but was quickly contained by firefighters, early Saturday morning.

Authorities responded to reports of a flare up from the Tujunga Fire located near the 8100 block of Ellenbogen Street in the Sunland area around 1:45 AM.

Crews arriving on scene located an approximately two-acre flare up threatening nearby homes and quickly worked to attack the blaze.

Using crews on the ground and in the air the fire was contained in under an hour.

No injuries or structure damage was reported.

The Tujunga Fire broke out Friday afternoon around 1:09 and has burned about 22 acres.
