Studio City: Police Search After Pursuit Of Armed Burglary Suspects

09.29.2019 | 11:45 PM | LOS ANGELES – Police took one man into custody but were still searching for a second after a high-speed pursuit, late Sunday night.

Police in Culver City attempted to stop a black Ford Mustang wanted in connection with an burglary and shooting around 11:45 PM.

The vehicle, occupied by two suspects believed to be armed, fled from officers at speeds in excess of 100 MPH.

Officers lost sight of the vehicle from the ground but a police helicopter was able to track the vehicle to a shopping center near the intersection of Venture Boulevard and Vineland Avenue in the Studio City area of Los Angeles.

The suspects ditched their vehicle in an underground parking garage before setting off on foot.

A large perimeter was established around the shopping center while police searched for the suspects.

One person believed to be a suspect was taken into custody but another remains outstanding.

An investigation is ongoing.
