Street Takeover Suspect Arrested After 100 MPH Chase

At approximately 10:45 p.m. on May 7, 2026, deputies responded to reports of a large street takeover near the North Freeway and Greens Road in Houston.

Authorities say between 100 and 150 vehicles had gathered in a parking lot, where drivers were reportedly performing donuts and other reckless stunts.

Deputies attempted to stop a red Dodge Charger seen doing donuts, but the driver fled, leading authorities on a pursuit that reportedly exceeded 100 mph.

The chase ended after the Charger ran out of gas near a Popeyes restaurant. The suspect then attempted to flee on foot before being captured by deputies a short distance away.

No injuries or civilian vehicle damage were reported during the incident.

Authorities say the Dodge Charger will be seized following the pursuit.
