Stanton: Pedestrian Killed Crossing Street

01.01.2019 | 6:45 PM | STANTON – A man in his 60s was dead after being struck by a car, Tuesday evening.

Authorities responded to reports of a crash involving a pedestrian near the intersection of Cerritos and Magnolia avenues around 6:45 PM.

Units arriving on scene located a man in his 60s down in the roadway and a vehicle stopped nearby.

Firefighter paramedics transported the male victim to UCI Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

The driver of the vehicle that struck the pedestrian remained on scene and cooperated with authorities.

The circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation.
