DETAILS:

1. LVMPD officers attempted to make a traffic stop of a wanted person at the intersection of Flamingo and Nellis.
2. The suspect, who was believed to be armed with a gun, refused to obey the officer’s commands to exit the vehicle. The situation then escalated to a barricaded person.
3. The LVMPD SWAT Team and crisis negotiators responded to the scene.
4. Shortly after midnight on January 7, the SWAT officers effectuated the arrest of the suspect.
