Stabbing Leads To Barricade Situation In Pico Rivera

At approximately 10:30 p.m. on April 12, 2026, deputies responded to reports of a stabbing near True Avenue and Myron Street in Pico Rivera.

When officers arrived, they located a male victim suffering from stab wounds. The victim was transported to a local trauma center in unknown condition.

According to neighbors, the victim was new to the area and was known for walking his dog in the neighborhood.

Authorities say the suspect retreated into a nearby residence and was heard yelling at deputies from inside. Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department crisis negotiators responded and attempted to establish communication.

The suspect later retreated further into the home and stopped responding, prompting a response from the Special Enforcement Bureau, which prepared to make entry.

The surrounding area remained shut down as the barricade situation continued.
