Speeding Semi Causes Rollover Crash | Mission Valley

12.07.2021 | 10:09 AM | MISSION VALLEY – The CHP believes that the male driver of the semi-truck w/ trailer was going too fast for the wet road. conditions while traveling northbound on the I-15 downhill from City Heights into Mission Valley. He hit his brakes too hard and the trailer started to sway and swerve. The semi-truck hit the driver and passenger into a red pickup truck. The semi went off of the freeway. The pick-up truck went off the freeway and rolled. The pick-up truck came within a few feet of going over the edge of the cliff face and down onto Camino Del Rio South. The semi-truck driver and a female passenger of the truck were transported to local hospitals. The male driver with unknown injuries and the female with a fractured arm.
