Speeding Car Crashes Into Backyard In Highgrove
At approximately 4:21 p.m. on May 17, 2026, emergency crews responded to a major crash near Palmyrita Avenue and Spring Mountain Road in the Highgrove area.
Responding units located a vehicle that had crashed through a brick barrier wall and ended up hanging over an embankment above a residential backyard.
According to the homeowner, children had been playing in the backyard just minutes before the crash occurred.
Surveillance video captured the vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed, running through a stop sign, and slamming into the wall without braking.
The driver suffered minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital, where authorities planned to conduct further testing to determine whether impairment may have been a factor.
Debris from the destroyed brick wall could be seen scattered throughout the backyard after the vehicle was removed from the scene.
