SOUTHMONT Fatal House Fire, Houston, TX

DETAILS:

1. A Southeast Patrol sergeant observed a house fully engulfed in flames while on routine patrol.

2. At the same time, neighbors were calling in to report the fire.

3. Firefighters arrived shortly after and extinguished the fire.

4. Upon clearing the residence, crews discovered one deceased individual inside the home.

5. The identity of the deceased is unknown at this time.

6. HFD Arson and HPD Homicide are investigating.
