South Whittier: Teenage Girl Dead After Being Dumped On Lawn

09.20.2019 | 7:45 PM | SOUTH WHITTIER – A 16-year-old girl was dead after being found dumped on the front lawn of an apartment complex, Friday night.

Authorities responded to reports of a teenage girl down unresponsive on the front lawn an apartment complex in near the intersection of Inez Avenue and Meyer Road around 7:45 PM.

Units arriving on scene located a 16-year-old girl down in cardiac arrest and began performing life-saving measures.

Firefighter paramedics rushed the girl to a nearby hospital where she was pronounced deceased.

A witness reported seeing the teenager being dumped by a vehicle that fled the scene shortly after.

Police detained a teenage girl at the scene but it was unclear if she was a suspect.

An investigation is ongoing.
