South Whittier: Box Trucks Found Engulfed In Flames

02.16.2020 | 11:09 PM | SOUTH WHITTIER – Two box trucks were found engulfed in flames after reports of an explosion, Sunday night.

Authorities responded to reports of an explosion near the intersection of Carmenita Road and Beaty Avenue around 11:09 PM.

Units arriving on scene located two box trucks engulfed in heavy fire.

Firefighters worked to douse flames from both vehicles and contained the bulk of the fire within 15 minutes.

No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.

It was unclear what, if anything, was inside the trucks.
