South Pasadena: Fiery Crash Into Tree Leaves One Dead

05.07.2020 | 4:14 AM | SOUTH PASADENA – A 33-year-old woman was killed when her vehicle left the roadway and crashed into a tree before bursting into flames, early Thursday morning.

Authorities responded to reports of a traffic collision with fire on the SR-110 Freeway at the Fair Oaks Avenue off ramp around 4:14 AM.

Units arriving on scene located a 2000 Infiniti I30 wrapped around a tree and on fire.

Firefighter paramedics quickly extinguished the fire but discovered the drive, a 33-year-old Panorama City woman, deceased on scene.

The circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation.
