South Los Angeles: Three Shootings Leave Two Dead

05.06.2020 | 12:40 PM | LOS ANGELES – Two people were dead after three shootings occurred within just a few hours, Wednesday afternoon.

Authorities responded to the first shooting near the intersection of South Hoover and West 58th streets around 12:40 PM.

Units on scene located an victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds after what witnesses reported was a drive-by shooting.

Firefighter paramedics transported the victim to an area hospital where they were pronounced deceased.

A second shooting call went out at the intersection of West 111th Street and South Western Avenue around 2:53 PM. That shooting left one man dead but no other information was immediately available.

About a mile away near the intersection of 109th Street and Vermont Avenue another person was shot and injured at around 3:45 PM.

It was unclear if the three shootings were related but authorities are investigating.
