South Los Angeles: Suspect Dead After Officer-Involved Shooting

04.30.2020 | 9:40 PM | LOS ANGELES – One suspect was dead and two others were in custody after an officer-involved shooting, Thursday night.

Officers observed a vehicle occupied by three males collide with a parked vehicle before fleeing.

The officers followed the vehicle to the area of Wall and 23rd streets when a suspect armed with a handgun exited the vehicle.

An officer-involved shooting subsequently occurred and the suspect was fatally wounded.

Two other suspects from inside the vehicle fled on foot but were located and taken into custody after a lengthy search.

No officers were injured and a handgun was recovered from the scene of the shooting.
