South Los Angeles: Five Hospitalized After Shooting

05.26.2020 | 10:40 PM | LOS ANGELES – Five people were hospitalized in reportedly critical condition after a shooting, Tuesday night.

Authorities responded to reports of a shooting with multiple victims down in the 11800 block of Berendo Avenue near 119th Street in an unincorporated area of south Los Angeles around 10:40 PM.

Units arriving on scene located five victims suffering from gunshot wounds with the area littered with spent shell casings.

Firefighter paramedics treated and transported all five victims to area trauma centers in reportedly critical condition.

Deputies cordoned off the area surrounding the shooting while detectives responded to the scene to investigate.

The circumstances that lead to the shooting remain unclear and no suspect description or motive was immediately available.
