South Gate: House Fire Critically Burns Man
12.26.2018 | 2:49 AM | SOUTH GATE – A man was critically burned during a house fire, Wednesday morning.
Firefighters responded to a reported structure fire in the 10200 block of San Vincente Avenue around 2:49 AM.
Crews arriving on scene located a single-story residence with smoke and fire showing and began efforts to extinguish the blaze.
During the firefight a male victim was rescued from the burning building. The man had serious burns and was in apparent cardiac arrest.
Firefighter paramedics treated the man on scene by performing CPR and transported to an area hospital in critical condition.
The fire was extinguished in under an hour and no other injuries were reported.
Authorities are responding to investigate the cause of the fire.
