South-Central: Fireworks Ignite Large Tree, Threatening Nearby Apartment Building

07.04.2020 | 9:00 PM | LOS ANGELES – Fireworks ignited a large tree that threatened a nearby apartment building, Saturday night.

Authorities responded to reports of a tree fire threatening a structure in the 200 block of East Adams in the South-Central area around 9:00 PM.

Units arriving on scene located a large tree engulfed in flames with embers threatening a nearby two-story apartment building.

Firefighters extinguished the fire in about 15 minutes and prevents damage to any nearby buildings.

Witnesses reported that fireworks sparked the tree fire.
