Soto Fire Burns 30 Acres Near Home

JURUPA VALLEY (CNS) – Riverside County fire crews Wednesday were working to fully surround a vegetation fire that scorched about 30 acres in Jurupa Valley and prompted evacuations.
The Soto Fire was reported around 7:45 p.m. Tuesday in the 4600 block of Soto Street, near and Sedona Drive, Cal Fire reported.
Evacuation orders were issued for select neighborhoods in the area, but as of late morning Wednesday, the fire was 80% contained and all evacuations were lifted.
A reception and care center that had been established at Patriot High School was closed, according to the Red Cross.
The cause of the fire was under investigation, according to Cal Fire.
No injuries were reported.
