Sonoma: Kincade Fire Explodes To 10,000+ Acres Overnight
10.23.2019 | 9:27 PM | SONOMA COUNTY – A fast-moving fire dubbed the “Kincade Fire” exploded to over 10,000 acres, Wednesday night.
Authorities responded to the reported vegetation fire burning near the intersection of Burned Mountain and Kincade roads around 9:27 PM.
Crews arriving on scene found a fire burning amid heavy-winds on hilly terrain up to 3,000 feet above sea level.
Firefighters worked from the ground but air resources were grounded due to dangerous winds.
It was unknown how many buildings were damaged or if any injuries were reported.
Officials reported that the fire had exploded to over 10,000 acres overnight at a press conference early Thursday morning.
No containment was reported and the cause is unknown.
