Sonoma County: Destructive Kincade Fire Continues To Burn
10.26.2019 | 9:00 PM | SONOMA COUNTY – The Kincade Fire that continues to scorch thousands of acres of land and was only 11% contained, Saturday night.
The blaze believed to have been sparked by faulty PG&E equipment had scorched more than 26,000 acres and destroyed more than 77 structures as of Saturday night.
Over 2,800 firefighters from throughout California battled the fast-moving fire which was reportedly 11% contained.
More than 90,000 residents have been evacuated as a result of the fire.
Two civilians and one firefighter sustained non-life-threatening injuries after being overcome by flames. The firefighter is credited with saving the lives of the civilians by deploying his fire shelter around them.
No deaths have been reported and an investigation in the potentially faulty PG&E equipment that may have sparked the massive fire is underway.
