Snow Storm Slams San Bernardino Communities
INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 3.6.25 | 10:42 AM
LOCATION: San Bernardino Mountains
AREA/CITY: San Bernardino Mountains
DETAILS:
- The coldest snow storm is still to come, but temperatures have already plummeted below freezing in Lake Arrowhead and Crestline, dropping snow as far down as Upper Waterman Canyon.
- The second wave of the storm is still a couple of hours away, but micro bursts of heavy snow are popping up all over the mountain communities.
- The roads are buried throughout Running Springs, Lake Arrowhead, and Crestline, and spin-outs have been recorded at some of the lowest elevations.
- Chain Control is set up in Crestline at Lake Gregory Drive; however, it is unclear why they have not moved further down the hill with snow as far as Upper Waterman.
- Throughout the rest of the day, anywhere between 5 and 8 inches is expected above 4500 ft, with the winter storm warning in full effect.
