Smuggler With 5 Migrants Stopped By Spike Strip Following Pursuit | Otay Mesa

08.16.2021 | 8:36 AM | OTAY MESA – There has been an increase of smuggling in the Otay Mesa area with undocumented Migrants being picked up by American citizens after the Migrants have made it over the border wall according to the U.s. Border Patrol. This morning, Agents observed 5 suspected migrants getting into a car and attempted to stop the driver. The driver fled westbound on Otay Mesa Rd and the agents used a spike strip, and flattening at least 3 of the 4 tires. It’s believed that there was a vehicle collision with a Border Patrol vehicle and the driver stopped.
