Skunk Sprays Armed Suspect After fter Pursuit on 210 Fwy

DETAILS:

1. 1. Pomona Pd was in pursuit of a suspect who shot multiple rounds at a female, but the female was not hit near San Bernardino Ave and San Antonio Ave in the city of Pomona.2. Pomona officers, along with a police helicopter chased the suspect on the 10 Fwy westbound to the northbound 57 fwy to the westbound, 210 freeway where CHP was able to get behind the white Mercedes just before Sunflower Ave in the city of Glendora.3. During the pursuit, dispatch advised the CHP officer that the suspect was considered armed and dangerous and shot multiple rounds before the pursuit.

   4. The suspect vehicle ran out of gas on the westbound 210 fwy just before Sunflower Ave. The suspect took foot bail onto the eastbound side of the 210 freeway, running into an embankment.

   5. Pomona PD officers, along with CHP officers, set up a perimeter with the suspect still armed and carrying a backpack.

   6. After about 10 to 15 minutes, the suspect surrendered to CHP officers after being sprayed by a skunk.

   7. Officers did locate a handgun inside the vehicle and a backpack in the bushes also with a gun inside the bag along with magazines.

   8. The suspect was turned over to Pomona Pd.
