07.18.2020 | 9:00 PM | SIMI VALLEY – The NEOWISE Comet was spotted flying through the sky, Saturday night.
A time lapse video captured the comet as could be seen over Simi Valley around 9:00 PM.
Named after NASA’s Near-Earth Object Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer mission, the NEOWISE comet is thought to be more sturdy than other comets that break up as they approach the sun.
The comet is over 64 million miles away and is expected to be visible from areas with low light pollution throughout July.
