Simi Valley: Murder-Suicide, Bomb Threat Discovered By Family Member Inside Home

11.07.2019 | 6:54 PM | SIMI VALLEY – A gruesome scene  discovered by a family member that included a bomb threat was the result of a murder-suicide, Thursday evening.

Authorities responded to reports of a person down inside a home in the 500 block of Fairfield Road around 6:54 PM.

Units arriving on scene located a female victim down in a pool of blood and pronounced her deceased on scene.

While inside the home authorities located a sign reading “BOMB INSIDE – DON’T OPEN” which prompted a SWAT team and bomb squad to respond.

Approximately 50 residents were evacuated while authorities assessed the situation.

Ultimately no explosive device was found, instead authorities located a second deceased victim as well as a deceased dog.

The incident appears to be the result of a murder-suicide, authorities said.
