Simi Valley: High-Speed Crash Leaves Motorcyclist Dead

05.23.2020 | 1:29 AM | SIMI VALLEY – A 28-year-old motorcyclist was dead after a high-speed crash, early Saturday morning.

Authorities responded to reports of a motorcyclist down on Los Angeles Avenue between Ralston Street and Angus Avenue around 1:29 AM.

Units arriving on scene located a solo motorcyclist who had crashed at the “S” turn.

Firefighter paramedics pronounced the rider, later identified as 28-year-old Libu Babu Jacob of Simi Valley, deceased on scene.

Initial reports indicate Jacob was traveling at high-speeds when he failed to negotiate a turn and departed the runway before striking a railroad crossing arm pole.

The are surrounding the crash was cordoned off while officers investigated.
