Shots Fired as Clerk Fights Off Robbery Suspects | San Diego
02.13.2021 | 2:30 AM | SAN DIEGO – Two females and one male walked into the 7-Eleven and immediately started to grabbed merchandise including alcohol and food items. The male then jumped behind the sales counter and started grabbing tobacco products and demanding for the clerk to open the cash register.
The clerk refused and started to fight with the male suspect.A second male who was waiting in a silver sedan got out of the car and walked inside and started shooting at the clerk with a 9mm handgun. The shots missed and the 4 suspects ran out of the store and fled in the car, dropping some of the stores’ merchandise in the parking lot.
Approx 5 minutes later, there were several calls to the Police about shots fired on Rolando Ct. approx 1/2 mile away from the 7/11 robbery. Officers found 6 shell casings i.n the street also from a 9mm handgun. Police do not know yet if the two related.
The clerk was bruised and battered from fighting with the suspects. He was checked out by Paramedics. The suspects were 2 young black males, 1 young white female & 1 Hispanic female.
