Short Wild Pursuit Ends in Crash | Los Angeles
12.15.2021 | 9:30 PM | LOS ANGELES – LAPD Central Bureau attempted to make a traffic stop on a vehicle.
The driver of the vehicle took off and a short pursuit ensued.
The pursuit lasted less than a minute.
The driver fled Northbound on Central, when he got to 1st street he continued straight driving through the front courtyard of the Japanese American National Museum just missing the World War II Memorial Wall taking out some trees and a light post.
The driver continued through a parking lot crashing into a parked vehicle on Temple.
When officers got to the car, they found the driver trapped inside the wreckage.
LAFD Firefighters arrived at the scene and used the Jaws of Life to free the suspect.
LAFD Paramedics transported the victim to a local hospital in critical condition.
Currently the reason for the traffic stop is unknown.
