Shooting Victim Crashes Car While Being Rushed to Hospital

At approximately 8:23pm on March 31st, 2026, Riverside County Sheriff’s deputies responded to reports of a shooting in the 23000 block of Hemlock Avenue in Moreno Valley.

Upon arrival, deputies located evidence of a shooting but were unable to find any victims or suspects at the scene.

Shortly after, Riverside Police Department officers responded to a traffic collision near University Avenue and Lime Street in Riverside, where they discovered a subject suffering from a gunshot wound. Investigators determined the victim had been shot in Moreno Valley and was being transported to the hospital when the vehicle was involved in a crash near Fire Station 1.

The collision resulted in minor injuries, and the shooting victim was transported to a local hospital in stable condition.

Riverside Police handled the traffic collision investigation, while Riverside County Sheriff’s deputies continued investigating the shooting.

The investigation remained ongoing.
