Shooting Suspects Taken Into Custody After Pursuit

INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 10-13-24 / 10:20 pm
LOCATION: 617 Mayford St.
AREA/CITY: Houston
DETAILS:

1. It was reported two groups were involved in a shootout.
2. One group left but came back and fired more shots at the other.
3. One male 18 – 20 years old was shot.
4. He was pronounced deceased at the scene by HFD.
5. Responding HPD units were given a description of the suspects vehicle.
6. Units located a possible vehicle a few blocks away. A pursuit ensued for a few blocks before that vehicle crashed.
7. Two suspects were detained.
8. The two groups are known to each other. It’s unknown if they are family members or acquaintances.
9. Investigation is underway.
