Sherman Oaks: Vandalism Suspect Crashes While Fleeing From Police

02.23.2020 | 12:00 AM | LOS ANGELES – A vandalism suspect was taken into custody after he crashed while leading officers on a pursuit, early Sunday morning.

Officers attempted to stop felony vandalism suspect armed with a crowbar and metal chain in a white Lexus sedan around midnight in the Sherman Oaks area.

The suspect failed to yield to officers and fled before nearly an hour before crashing on the Sepulveda Boulevard off ramp from the I-101 Freeway.

Police quickly took the suspect into custody without further incident.

The nature of the initial vandalism charge was not immediately available.
