Sherman Oaks: Pursuit Suspect Arrested After Crash

07.16.2020 | 12:09 AM | LOS ANGELES – A suspect who lead officers on a high-speed pursuit was under arrest after crashing, early Thursday morning.

Officers attempted to stop a reckless driver traveling at high speeds on the SR-14 Freeway near Sierra Highway around 12:09 AM.

The driver of the vehicle, a grey Hyundai SUV, failed to yield to officers and fled at speeds in excess of 120 MPH.

The chase continued with the driver turning off his headlights and eventually crashing in the 4300 block of Fiume Street in the Sherman Oaks area.

Police took the suspect into custody without further incident and he was placed under arrest before being transported to a hospital for evaluation.
