Sherman Oaks: Murder Suspect Arrested After Returning To Crime Scene
04.04.2020 | 12:00 AM | LOS ANGELES – A murder suspect was arrested after returning being recognized by a security guard when he returned to the scene of the crime, early Saturday morning.
Officers responded to a security guard who reported recognizing the suspect from a recent murder inside a vacant building in the 15200 block of Burbank Boulevard in the Sherman Oaks area around midnight.
The murder which occured only one day prior left a man dead after he was found stabbed in the neck.
Units responding to the suspect sighting secured a perimeter around the building before commanding the suspect surrender.
The male suspect was taken into custody without incident however a female accomplice remains at large.
It was unclear if the murder weapon was discovered.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the homicide including any motive.
