Sherman Oaks: Car Crashes Through Carport

09.07.2019 | 8:33 PM | LOS ANGELES – Authorities are investigating how a driver crashed through a carport wall and landed on top of two other vehicles, Saturday night.

Authorities responded to reports of a vehicle that had crashed through a wall in the 5400 block of North Sepulveda Boulevard in the Sherman Oaks area around 8:33 PM.

Units arriving on scene found a Lexus SUV that had crashed through a carport wall and came to rest on top of two other vehicles.

The driver and passenger inside the SUV were assisted out of the vehicle by firefighters and suffered only minor injuries.

An Urban Search And Rescue (USAR) team responded to remove the vehicle using a winch to prevent further damage to the structure.

A building and safety representative was responding to the scene while police officers investigated the circumstances surrounding the crash.
