Several Arrests After Hours Long ASU Pro-Palestine Protest

DETAILS:

1. Hundreds gathered on the lawn of the Old Main building on the ASU campus for hours in support of Palestine, and demanding the ASU cut ties with groups affiliated with the IDF.
2. Demonstrators set up tents and tables refusing to leave until their demands were met.
3. ASU Police and DPS issued commands for the crowd to leave the area or be subject to arrest past 11 PM.
4. Troopers advanced on the demonstrators, clearing tents and items to allow work crews to toss the items in nearby trucks.
5. Protesters locked arms in a large gathering.
6. Troopers removed individuals before arresting them.
7. Several scuffles broke out as troopers attempted to arrest the protestors.
8. Dozens were eventually arrested and transported to an awaiting MCSO bus.
