Seven People & Four Dogs Displaced in House Fire | San Diego

02.26.2022 | 7:46 AM | SAN DIEGO – Residents had been smelling something in the house since 2 am.

At approx 7:45 am, smoke was beginning to enter the living areas.

Firefighters arrived and found that an electrical fire had started in the attic space and the insulation had been smoldering/on fire all night.

The firefighters put out the fire but had to remove the insulation.

The home has some unpermitted additions to the home and the female owner is renting rooms out to at least 6 others.

7 people and 4 dogs will be displaced for at least 2 days according to the Fire Dept.

The female owner suffered a panic attack and was checked out by Paramedics, but was not transported to a hospital.
