Service Member Strikes and Kills Pedestrian | Point Mugu

09.19.2021 | 11:18 PM | POINT MUGU – A uniformed service member in his personal vehicle was traveling northbound on SR-1 just south of Hueneme Rd when he struck a pedestrian standing in lanes of traffic.

A Good Samaritan pulled over and performed CPR on the victim until fire and paramedic crews arrived.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.

It is unknown why the pedestrian was stranding in lanes.

CHP Ventura is investigating the incident as an accident.
