Serious Cut-And-Rescue Crash Caused By Negligence | San Diego
INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 3-2-23 8:32 am LOCATION: 6564 Jackson Dr. CITY: San Diego DETAILS: The male driver of the truck was towing a long trailer westbound on Jackson Dr. The trailer detached from the truck as he approached Lake Badin Ave. The trailer went over the center median and into the eastbound lanes. A female was driving the other vehicle in the eastbound lanes and had no time to stop as she plowed into the trailer. The vehicle flipped several times before landing on its’ side. Firefighters had to extricate the woman, and she was transported to a local hospital with unknown injuries. Eastbound lanes are blocked at Lake Badin Ave for the clean-up. The male driver told the Police that he forgot to put the safety pin into the trailer hitch, which caused the trailer hitch and trailer to come off of the truck, thus causing the crash.
