Semi Truck Teeters Over the Edge | Jurupa Valley
1.12.2021 | 1:57 AM | JURUPA VALLEY – A semi-truck carrying 75,000 pounds of pallets nearly flew over the side of a bridge Tuesday morning.
CHP Inland officers responded to a 3 vehicle traffic collision shortly before 2:00 AM Tuesday.
When they arrived, they found 3 vehicles, one of which was a semi.
The two vehicles involved had major damage and the semi was hanging over the side of the freeway.
There was a lot of debris in the roadway and multiple vehicles sustained flat tires. Ultimately, authorities effected a hard closure.
The driver of the semi and the driver of one of the cars were transported by AMR with non-life threatening injuries.
One lane of the freeway reopened at 3 AM. Crews remained on scene well into the morning hours as they tried to remove the semi and clear the remainder of the debris from the roadway.
