Semi-Truck Crash on I-905 Transition Ramp in San Diego

INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 10-20-23
LOCATION: WB I-905 Transition to NB I-805
CITY: San Diego
DETAILS:

1. The driver of a semi-truck w/trailer went off of the transition ramp, hitting a tree.
2. The semi went down the embankment and flipped.
3. Most of the contents went flying out of the truck.
4. Firefighters arrived and could not find the driver.
5. The driver fled the scene for an unknown reason.
6. The CHP has issued a SIG ALERT and shut down the transition ramp to retrieve the semi-truck and trailer and then for the clean-up.
7. All traffic is being sent west on the I-905.
8. Most of the items seemed to be COSTCO items (water and toilet paper.
9. Speed was a factor in this incident.
