A major overnight crash involving a semi-trailer shut down multiple lanes of the eastbound 10 Freeway in Baldwin Park.
At approximately 1:45 a.m. on July 6, 2026, California Highway Patrol officers responded to reports of a semi-trailer that had overturned just west of the Frazier Street exit on eastbound Interstate 10.
When officers arrived, they found the trailer lying on its side across multiple lanes of the freeway.
Investigators were seen speaking with the drivers of several other vehicles farther down the freeway as they worked to determine whether the overturned trailer was the result of a collision.
The crash forced the closure of the northbound 605 Freeway transition to eastbound Interstate 10, along with multiple eastbound lanes of the 10 Freeway.
CHP advised that at least one lane might reopen temporarily to allow traffic to slowly pass while heavy-duty tow crews worked to recover the overturned trailer.
Officials had not provided an estimated time for all lanes to reopen.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
