Semi Overturns On Road | Riverside

02.02.2021 | 9:24 PM | RIVERSIDE – California Highway Patrol and Riverside Fire Department responded to an overturned semi on the Riverside Interchange. When they arrived they found a semi on its side blocking the 1, 2 and 3 lanes of the freeway. Initial reports were that the semi was leaking fuel and/or oil and that it had a ruptured tank and was carrying 150 gallons of fuel or Diesel and was having a major spill. Fire arrived and found that they truck was leaking some oil but it was not having a major spill. CHP Called for a hard closure of the freeway and issued a SIG Alert. The freeway will remain closed for a few hours while crews clean up the spilled fluids and the truck is towed. The driver of the semi was not injured.
