Semi Crashes Over Center Divider On 210 Freeway
The 210 Freeway was shut down in both directions early Monday morning after a semi-truck crashed over the center divider and another vehicle overturned in Claremont.
The collision was reported at approximately 12:46 a.m. on September 7, 2026, on the eastbound 210 Freeway east of Baseline Road.
CHP officers and Los Angeles County firefighters arrived to find the semi-truck across the center divider and a second vehicle overturned in the westbound lanes.
The semi-truck driver was transported to a local hospital with injuries of unknown severity. According to preliminary information, the driver of the other vehicle fled the scene following the collision.
Approximately 110 gallons of diesel fuel spilled onto the freeway, complicating cleanup efforts.
The 210 Freeway was initially closed in both directions as emergency crews searched for victims and worked at the scene. A SigAlert was issued due to multiple lane closures, with no estimated duration immediately available.
The cause and circumstances surrounding the collision remain under investigation by CHP.
