Semi Crashes into Car on Fwy & Lands on Train Tracks

DETAILS:

1. CHP and Fontana Fire Department responded to a traffic collision involving a semi with the vehicle on fire eastbound on the 10 freeway just before Citrus Avenue in the city of Fontana.

2. One vehicle was fully engulfed and the semi crashed through a fence and landed on train tracks off the 10 freeway.

3. Two people were transported from the vehicle with minor injuries to a local hospital.

4. The driver of the semi was checked out by firefighters and was not transported.

5. Unknown at this time how the crash occurred.

6. CHP has the two left lanes open on the eastbound 10 freeway just before Citrus Avenue.

7. A Sig Alert has been issued for the three right lanes of eastbound 10 freeways from an unknown time.
